At this point in my life I have decided two things when taking on new clients: I’m going to keep the commute to a minimum, and I am going to live in relative comfort while coaxing them on to the path of success (and that always involves pissing them off to a point where they want to fire me).
So here, my new home, I am 1.3 miles from my client’s site. Once the summer heat dissipates a bit, I’ll bike to the site. Of course when the third assembly site moves to China, I will likely fly.
This is a wonderful house in suburbia LA. If I had to buy it, figure a half million. Crazy as there is more demand than supply, and prices just go up, until another bubble burst.
6:00 a.m. wakeup call tomorrow!
