I was auditing a Fokker site for Boeing with a past nemesis from Korea. We opted to make peace, and we became friends. She and I had a wonderful time from there on.
I was staying at a Westin tower hotel for 350 euro a night. I had a workout gym in my hotel room. Delightful!
The local food was heavenly.
Driving to the site daily, I was unaware that the speed limits were camera monitored. Months later I had to pay 150 euros three times or face Interpol. I paid.
Euro Cup was in progress at the time, and the Dutch beat both the Italians and the Germans. They lost to the Russians, and I conveniently departed for Italy the next day.
It was truly an unforgettable slice of my life.
