Carbonboy’s Diet & Exercise Plan

Notes:  1. with Chia seeds and Goji berries, 2. with flaxseed and non-fat milk, 3. add seafood on Sunday, 4. with Feta cheese, sunflower seeds and Kalamata olives, 5. with leeks and kale.

I went in for a physical today, as I hadn’t had a real one for about three years. All the blood work was done a few weeks ago, and everything checks out fine except for my triglycerides, which were a bit high.

That, I learned is easily controllable by reducing one’s carbs. I was not overly concerned as I was still basically on the diet I had in Mexico, i.e. not so good. The same thing happened after six months in Italy, but who the hell is not going to eat excess carbs in Italy?

So early last week I formulated the diet & exercise plan as seen above.  In spite of being remarkably healthy for my age, there’s still the matter of that excess flab on my body, which is the main point of the plan. Health and fitness are two entirely different things.

I love it, but I will say this – I’d likely fail if I were working for a living. It’s doable because “I am free to do what I want, anytime I want.”

So if and when I return to working for a living, it will be on my terms. There is no frigging way I’ll work 12-hour shifts like I did in Querétaro so some billionaire gets his LearJet 85 delivered on time (he won’t anyway, if at all).

I cropped out the personal stuff that I am tracking as it’s “too much information” and I don’t want to give the NSA unnecessary freebies.  I am simply tracking my weight (lost 2.4 lbs. last week), BMI, resting heart beat and of course blood pressure.

I have no plans to work at this intensity forever, but it would be great if I could. The real test will be if I can keep it up until my objectives are met. I have failed before!!!

Aha – I booked a balcony suite at the Double Tree in Arlington, VA with the hope of finally learning how to photograph and video Washington DC 4th of July Fireworks. The view is right on the flight path of Washington National as well. I am hoping the view is perfect from the room, but if not, I’ll bike down to LadyBird Johnson Park for a Potomac River view. Wish me luck!
