Piney Point Pier Bench
I rushed home this weekend so I could send a designer dress that I won on eBay to South Korea. That was my only mission and by 10:00 a. m. it was accomplished.
Although I have tons of projects at the house, I felt compelled to declared “mission accomplished,” perhaps as an excuse to do nothing more for the weekend. What a shame as we are in this perfect window of perfect weather.
Before leaving Philadelphia, I did manage to buy a interesting book from Amazon: The Practice of Contemplative Photography.
I read a bit and paged through the photos and had a minor epiphany. I (likely we) need to be far more contemplative in this thing we call life. I read a bit and paged through the photos and had a minor epiphany (oh I already said that, but it is worth repeating).
Boat Stripes
Given I was inclined to be contemplative rather than productive over the remaining of my weekend in Piney Point, I chose three photographs to capture the feeling, all within a hop from the house.
Rotting Pole
I think the stress from the previous weeks induced this kinda Zen Moment in me. All things are again on the table, including this self-destructive need (or want) to earn a living. Likely it will pass on Monday, but I sure hope it does not.
