Sprinter Vans are only 70 inches wide and will not accommodate a full-sized bed across the width—no big problem if you are short. But putting in a bed lengthwise wastes valuable space, especially in the standard-length van (which I intend to buy for ease of handling).

One solution is a custom-trimmed mattress installed at a 22.5° angle. I’m off to my shop to trim down a memory foam mattress as a reality check. I expect I will be sleeping on it a night or two for a fix check. It should be ideally somewhat comfortable to sleep two. No expectations of finding a fitted sheet, and I do have plans for the odd triangular spaces it creates.
