Gaeta, Italy 2008 – I took too much for granted while in Italy for nine months!
It was another lazy weekend that slipped by too fast. I think that I accomplished ten percent of what I had intended, as the heat and humidity did not let up. No matter, as it was all stuff that can be done at a later date – when it finally cools off in Piney Point.
The drive back to Blacksburg was a breeze; amazing for a holiday weekend. And it was cool and comfortable here in the hills when I arrived before sunset. I had Tikka Masala at the local Indian restaurant with no wait at all, as the weekend football fans were in Atlanta. I read that Virginia Tech lost to Alabama badly – like I care.
I got to thinking that this is not what I want to be doing. I miss Barcelona, Italy and Korea. So then, the new task at hand: how can I return to these glorious sites without working for the man?
