The nightlife in the Union Square District is Simply Electric!
This was a short and stressful trip. In San Francisco I had to get my Indian Visa – in one day! Make appointment prior to arrival online, drop off passport, birth certificate and driver’s license before 9:00 a.m. and (hopefully) pickup visa before 5:00 p.m. All worked well!
After task one was complete I had a hardy breakfast and a short walk to Union Square. I had little time to do anything and I wanted to nap a bit in the afternoon as I still had to drive to Sacramento that evening.
Clearly the festivities of the day were just beginning – and I would miss them!
The brisk walk was invigorating and the afternoon nap refreshing. I did not want to leave, but by 4:40 p.m. I had my visa and was on the road to SAC.
If you have lot’s of money and love to shop, this is the place!
Remarkably by sunset I was checked into the Marriott in Rancho Cordova, one block from where my BMW with the dead battery was stored. That was to become a minor nightmare, but by 6:00 p.m. the following day my little car was up and running, back in storage for one more month.
I was back on I-80 to catch my redeye to Houston and an early morning flight back to Querétaro. I made it, but was so exhausted I decided to take the day off and sleep. Wise decision. All is well! Missions accomplished!
