First Signs of Spring in Philly

Lewes Delaware Graveyard

Ah, I was home in Piney Point this weekend, but got consumed in this thing call work. Not that I am complaining, as I can work from about anywhere in the world and still get paid.

Yet it was a glorious weekend wasted. All was in bloom in Piney Point, as it is in Washington DC – that early bloom that makes the misery of winter fade, giving new life and new hope.

Yet I had to return to the mundane today. As I drove through Annapolis the outside temperature soared to 87° F. I opened the windows and the moon roof, and let the turbulent warm air surround me as the music was blaring from my selection of the XX on Pandora. Yet as I approached the Bay Bridge the temperature dropped to 65° F over the Chesapeake Bay. The cold water wind howled in defiance.

Finally, back to my 2nd home, I was looking for any sign of Spring back in Philadelphia. There was really nothing until I approached my back door. And there they were, just some small weeds in the grass – but full of new life!
