I had a non-holiday this holiday. I was home, it was wonderful and it’s over. I was poked and probed by my doctor (all is well) and had both vehicles and the house checked up and setup for the dreadful winter.
Day one of the two-and-one-half day drive back to my undisclosed location in the middle of nowhere is over. Tomorrow I drive to St. Louis with a wonderful room booked right next to the famous arch.
I will spend, likely, the only New Year’s Eve of my life in this troubled city. I will make the most of it.
I am prepared for the long winter, but would prefer to be in the south of Spain or Italy (New Zealand would work as well). Photos of the famous St. Louis Arch coming tomorrow night.
