So the first thing I did was download a lot of iPad specific apps. That was good.
Then I synced the iPad and loaded all my iPhone apps. That was bad, as they all appeared in iPhone size on this big iPad.
Then I deleted them.
I got the 16 gig wireless only model in white. I added a light grey vinyl cover. As I have the hotspot option with my iPhone, it seemed the right choice.
But all the music files that I have on iTunes took half of the space. 90% of the music files that I have I never listen to anymore, but the iPad didn’t seem to care.
The wifi worked, and then it didn’t, and then it repeated that cycle over and over.
It was cool to watch streaming Netflix movies, when the wifi did work.
So I wasted most of Sunday trying to figure out how to get this thing to work with some degree of reliabiliy. Then I went to bed and I have not touched it since.
I may come to like and need my white iPad 2 with light-gray vinyl cover. So far it seems to be a heavy iPhone that I cannot make calls from. Just as well – imagine Apple junkies making calls on their heavy, over-priced iPad 2!
So it is one and one half weeks until I bounce from Tampa to Piney Point and then Sacramento. Maybe my iPad will work better in CA? Sure hope so.
