A best kept secret in San Francisco – View from Russian Hill
My schedule did not permit traveling “home for the holidays” and who likes to travel over the busiest holiday of the season anyway? So instead I drove to San Francisco to explore Columbus Avenue – that iconic link between Fisherman’s Warf and Chinatown. Walking up Russian Hill is a feat in itself – next time I’ll simply take the trolley. Anyway this small park off of Taylor Street offers a stunning and tranquil view of the city.
More to come tonight, as the sun just broke through and I want to take the Golden Gate Bridge over to Bonita Point before heading home to El Dorado Hills. This California lifestyle is brutal!
Now I wish I knew that Asian girl sitting above “17”
Well I am back home and somewhat relieved but missing the city already. It is late and I have a 5:00 a.m. wake-up call from my iPhone. No great photos on this journey, but more to come anyway.
There’s only about 5 and a half days to get a really good shot of the Golden Gate Bridge every year and this was not one of them. Anyway, this is about one of my favorite places on earth!
So I do have many photos of Chinatown, and I found the place to be a foul disappointment. Perhaps I will post a few. Next time I will visit after dark.
