
JoeBen, Joby’s founder, chartered a Boeing 737 and flew 200 employees to NYC for the event. I watched from home in bed with coffee.

He was the inventor of the Joby Gorilla Pod – that odd little tripod that wraps its legs around anything.

Ironically, JoeBen was a summer engineering intern at Moller International (M400 SkyCar) when I was the composite manager back in 1992. I vaguely remember him as this very blond kid, very animated.
