I, jack of all trades (master of none) am going to teach myself how to weld. I never even considered buying a welder, but they are quite cheap.

This is the back cross beam of my boat trailer. Boy, I am glad I did not see this when I hauled the boat from Maryland last year.

This is too much work for my buddy Marcus (a few doors down from my shop), but he is willing to coach.

So, I ordered some mild steel bar and will fabricate and weld a brace on this mess (after I grind away all the rust).
