Missing Savannah

Missing Savannah

Some time ago, I was instrumental in revisions and upgrading Gulfstream’s process specifications for composite fabrication and structure. They had “borrowed” Boeing’s BAC 5317 word-for-word and graphic-for-graphic, because the specification was in the public domain.

I worked for a year to bring it into the 21st century. The specification was finally approved well after I left.

When I lived in Savannah, I was lucky enough to rent a row house on one of the historic squares on York Street. My mom, my sister, and even an uncle were able to visit. It was the only time in my life when I had six working fireplaces in one house. I loved it.

After 9/11 my assignment ended, and I moved on to NAVAIR and Piney Point. But I did manage to return to Savannah since. Here is where I stayed.
