My Home-Away-from-Home Home Gym

I’ll admit it – I am an aging baby boomer in total denial. As long as Paul McCartney remains alive and in relatively good health I am fine, as he’s about a decade older than me! Yet there are two elements necessary to remain in my state of denial: daily diet and exercise.

My treadmill, stationary bike and weight cage were too heavy and bulky to fit into a tiny U-Haul trailer, so I packed an antiquated stepper and a contraption called an E-Force, both which I bought years ago from an 89 year old woman in Connecticut (my landlady at the time).

Ten minutes on each completely wears me out! So for $250 I added a Gazelle Glider (cheaper on Amazon than their official website). This thing has been around for decades; it’s cheap, easy on the knees and with some good tunes, 20 minutes flies by.

Bottom Line: You don’t need a fancy high-end $2500 NordicTrack FreeStride Trainer or a costly fitness center membership to get/keep in shape. You just have to do it!
