Stormy Weather

View from Milenio III as the Daily Thunderstorm Rolls In

While the U.S. is experiencing the drought of the century, here in Querétaro, México it has been raining everyday for the last three weeks. I am mean rain – washing out roads, killing power and flooding fields. The storm clouds roll in late in the afternoon in a flurry of lightning and thunder, and then comes solid sheets of rain for long periods well into the morning.

The days are partly sunny and quite warm and pleasant, aside from the noticeable higher humidity. I wish we could blow some of this rain up to the U. S. and help thing out a bit!

Well, I am leaving it for a while, heading back to El Dorado Hills where I can expect sunny, dry temperatures well into the 100’s. The pool should be like bathwater by now, but offer a welcome relief from the Sacramento Valley summer heat. After all this rain, I won’t mind a bit – and I got my 1st Class upgrade for the entire trip!
