This is my favorite getaway from the sheer boredom of Piney Point. Located were the Patuxent River meets the Chesapeake Bay, this is a gem of a tiny town.
Not much has changed here over the decades, except the Tiki Hut has shut down with lawsuits pending.
Really there is not much to do here unless you are a boat owner – eat, drink and browse over-priced art.
Yet it is fun to walk around and look at all the DC tourists that come on the weekends to get away from the heat.
I will miss this place.
