These two Disney charactors will be joining us!
The day did not begin well. I had to work late the previous evening, and my to-do list was just too long after I got home. I finally retired at 2:00 a.m. only to get a 7:00 a.m. wake-up call. I had planned to be at the SFO international terminal well before my Korean guests arrived, but there seemed, for no reason, a twenty mile back-up to cross the Bay Bridge.
That was nothing compared to the 16 hour flight my guests endured – the little boy down with a nasty virus and unable to eat or sleep the entire trip.
A few hours in a San Francisco emergency room, with his mom by his side, was his first experience in America. During that time I held his seven-year-old travel compansion on my lap when sleep finally took over. But all was well, as the virus was short-term with the proper treatment. The only thing left was the drive to Sacramento.
Finally home, all loved the house and the meal that I prepared. Now it is time for sleep and jet lag recovery. Tomorrow is just to relax before the journey’s first stop – Yosemite!
