For decades Indianapolis was just a drive-through city, either on my way to visit family in Wisconsin or to client sites in the Midwest or West Coast – either straight on thru on I-70 or a right on I-65.
This trip, out of necessity of a car repair, I spent two days in downtown Indianapolis. Salesforce is a major presence. It’s a very clean city relative to San Francisco. There’s a lot of cool upscale urban dwellings. Scooters, rental bikes and electric cars are all over. Eating options are everywhere. I could live here if not for winter.
I guess the point is urban living is really cool – just about anywhere. In spite of the cost of a broken car and a lost day, this was a positive experience. Next stop Lincoln, NE.
