I forgot how comfortable it feels to be in front of a warm fire on a rainy day. Fortunately, all we get here in Santa Cruz is rain, yet I am sure that warm fire is even more comforting during a snow storm.
It looks like we are in for a week of on-and-off rain, which is great to replenish the snow pack in the Sierra Nevadas. Yet sections of Pacific Coast Highway are already shut down from mud slides, and I expect more of the same in those areas devastated by fire.
That is the cycle here. Looking forward to a green spring.
